A Son's Tribute

Dad, I thank God you’re still around,
To teach me patience and love unbound.
Providing the wisdom I know I need,
On how to treat others with loving deed.

Thank you Dad for the days you worked,
To provide for family, you never shirked.
Long hours put in so we might eat,
Some tasty morsels, in palates sweet.

My appreciation Dad for all the years,
Of sacrifice, blood, sweat and tears,
That I might know what true giving gleans,
And share with others, my humble means.

I know not why God chose you for me,
To be my Dad, to let me see.
But this I know, no doubt to me,
I love you Dad, so tenderly.

Lord, please richly bless, not only my Dad, but all kind, loving, and caring Dads on this Father’s Day, in Jesus’ name I ask it, Amen!
